Misty Ross, Assistant Principal

I am honored and excited to return to the school that has played such an important role in both my personal and professional journey. Beulaville Elementary is truly home to my family. My children have grown up here, and our family has been blessed to be part of this incredible community for many years. It is especially meaningful to return to the place where my career in education first began. Coming back to BES as Assistant Principal is both a privilege and a full-circle moment. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the students, families, and staff of a school that means so much to me.

Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to serve in a variety of educational roles that have shaped my perspective as a leader. I began as a K–6 classroom teacher before supporting new educators as a Beginning Teacher Coordinator. Most recently, I served as the Director of Recruitment, Retention, and Beginning Teacher Support for the Human Resources Department, where I had the privilege of working alongside schools across the district to recruit, develop, and retain outstanding educators. Each of these experiences has strengthened my belief that exceptional schools are built through meaningful relationships, strong collaboration, and a shared commitment to student success.

While I have been blessed with opportunities to serve educators and schools in many capacities, nothing has been as fulfilling or rewarding as the excitement and joy that students bring each day. Their curiosity, resilience, and enthusiasm remind us why education is such a meaningful profession. Watching children discover their strengths, overcome challenges, and celebrate their achievements is the greatest reward of this work. I am blessed with the opportunity to support every child as they grow academically, socially, and emotionally while helping create an environment where each student feels valued, encouraged, and inspired to reach their fullest potential.

I believe that strong partnerships between families, educators, and the community are essential to student success. I am committed to fostering a positive, welcoming school culture built on collaboration, respect, and high expectations. Together, we can create meaningful learning experiences that empower every student to thrive.

It is truly an honor to serve BES, and I look forward to the incredible year ahead as we learn, grow, and celebrate together.
